Self check-in rules

Guest Check-In Procedure

According to Article 109 of the TULPS (Public Security Law), accommodation providers may only host guests who present a valid identity card or other official document that verifies their identity, in compliance with current regulations.

Check-in is typically carried out in person between a staff member or property manager and the guests, represented by the head of the family or group. In the case of holiday homes without a reception desk, guests must schedule an appointment within a specific time slot to complete the check-in process. This includes guest registration, payment, key handover, and instructions on how to properly use the accommodation.

Some Grottammare mon amour apartments offer a self check-in option. This allows guests to arrive and access the property independently at any time, without scheduling an appointment. However, in accordance with legal requirements, document submission, identification of the group leader or main guest, and payment must all be completed in advance.

To request self check-in (where available), guests must apply online through their booking user page at least 6 days prior to arrival. Requests made up to 24 hours before check-in are accepted only if the outstanding balance is paid by credit card or instant bank transfer.

Once the process is successfully completed and payment confirmed, guests will receive instructions for key collection via a one-time private access code.

Requests submitted with illegible documents or without full payment of the balance and security deposit will not be accepted. In such cases, check-in must be completed in person at a prearranged time, as specified in the rental agreement.

Note: Guests using self check-in are still required to schedule an appointment with the property manager for in-person identification (de visu) within a few hours of arrival, as mandated by current regulations.
